You should be ashamed

Gay Soldier Booed

I know many people don't share my view/opinion on the repeal of DADT nor do they share my view/opinion on homosexuality as whole.  That is fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.  However I am ashamed to share air with the asshats who booed an American soldier at the GOP debate.  Regardless of his sexual preference, he is doing something few Americans are willing to do.  He has willingly joined our military, deployed more than once and put his life on the line for this country.  He is sitting in a hell hole of a country and you, who sits in an air conditioned building, in a cushioned seat, with a nice warm bed and hot running water to go home to, have the nerve to boo him.  How many sitting in that audience do you think have ever stepped up for their country?  How many candidates on that stage have served?  So many say they are "proud, patriotic Americans" but they mean "proud, patriotic Americans as long as they never have to do anything."  And then there are the ones who "support our military" but then in the same conversation say they would never support a draft or allow their kids to serve because the military is "beneath them" or "for the ones who are uneducated".  Yes, I have had people (people who said they were my friends) say those very things to me.

I don't give a rat's ass if you have a problem with him being gay.  He deserves respect as a soldier fighting for this country and as a human being.  You don't boo him!  What are you, 5?  I'm tired of this Lynch Mob mentality many are developing.  Next thing you know they'll be throwing rotten vegetables and rounding up a posse.

It's a sad day when I have to explain such poor, pathetic behavior to my kids.  Apparently love thy neighbor should be amended to love thy neighbor only if he is exactly like you and agrees with you on everything, if not then you should be disrespectful and exhibit bully like behavior.

Fabulous Fall

Fall here in Alaska is fantastic.  I have never lived somewhere that has what I would consider to be a real, honest to goodness fall.  The colors of nature are so pretty and I can say I believe this may be my favorite part of living here.

Grumbling and Griping

If you schedule an appointment to show up at my house at 8am, causing me to have to rush around like a mad woman to get all the kids ready, get myself dressed and everyone fed and ready for school before said appointment, then you better damn well show up!  I sat here for 45 minutes waiting on your sorry butt and you can't even call!  I rushed my whole family this morning for nothing!  You can bet your sorry ass I won't be using your company for anything ever again.

I went in for my CT scan.  It was interesting.

Josh has perfected the art of faking being sick.  Every morning when it is time to leave for school he suddenly doubles over in pain, holding his stomach and in the most pathetic voice ever, announces he is too sick to go and needs to rest.

Vampire Diaries new season starts tonight.  YEAH BABY!!!!

Speaking of Vampires, I watched as much of the Vampires VS Zombies on Deadliest Warrior as I could.  It truly was more than I could bare.  The vampires won but barely.  According to them, a showdown would be so close it really could go either way. I am sorry but I totally throw down the BS card on that one.  Apparently, superior strength and intelligence means nothing in the face of a brain dead mob.  I wonder if the produces of the show are part of the Tea Party Movement?

The rest of my bathroom stuff has finally shown up.  I may actually have a finished master bathroom by Wednesday!  I love my son, but sharing a bathroom with him sucks.  It will be so nice to shower without stepping around match box cars and super hero action figures.  Not to mention being able to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, still half asleep, and not having the rude awakening of realizing a 4yr old's potty seat and my rear end don't mix!

Vampires VS Zombies?

deadliest-warrior-sneak-peek-vampires-vs-zombies

I was planning on watching this on Wednesday night.  But I am now reconsidering.  I have already had problems with this series in the past.  I really think a lot of their thought process is crap.  So I am very hesitant to watch.  If the Zombies win, I truly think I'll pop a blood vessel.

I mean, come one, Zombies are stupid!  If simple humans can take them out in Zombieland and Shawn of the Dead, then how are they any match for Vampires.   Plus, they are only using vampires (and their skills) from TV, not books.  There is now way a Zombie would stand a chance against the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Dark Hunters, or the Carpathians.  Heck, I don't think they could really even hold their own against the Twilight vamps!

So be warned of my possible tirade come Thursday. And always remember the Double Tap!!

Fangs or Drapes?

Halloween is approaching and it is time to start thinking of costumes.  I want to eventually invest in a good quality one since I would like to be able to use it for many years.  Any of you who know me,  probably think I want to be this:
And that would be a great guess since I am completely obsessed with vampires.  I am really torn because I do want to be a vampire.  But the truth is, I also want to be this:

I want to be Scarlet OHara.  But not just any Scarlet, I want to be the Scarlet in the dress made from drapes.  However I would put the Carol Burnett spin on it and place a curtain rod through the shoulders.  If you have never scene her famous Gone With The Wind skit, you are truly missing out.  That is hands down one of the funniest scenes ever!!

Soulja Boy: You Suck!

So Soulja Boy has upset Veterans across the country with his new song "Lets Be Real" where he sings:
"F**k the FBI and the army troops... fighting for what? Be your own man... I'll be flying through the clouds with green like I'm Peter Pan."
Want my opinion?  He has the right to free speech.  It sucks, but it's the truth.  However, I have the right to never buy any more of his music.  He's a jackass!  But, I give him props for being honest.  He does refer to himself as Peter Pan and what more can you expect from someone who identifies with a an annoying, self centered little twit who refuses to grow up?
